Del Gusto is an artisan food importer and distributor established in 2002 by Anna Coleman, a native Italian who is passionate about sharing a piece of authentic Italy with foodies in Ireland and the UK. Our collection consists of the same products you will find on the shelves of ‘alimentari’ and food speciality shops across Italy – the products that Italians themselves have enjoyed for generations.
Together with our artisan suppliers, we go to great lengths to source the best produce from each region in Italy. Our products are simple, healthy and quick to prepare, while never compromising on the quality you should expect from authentic producers and traditional production methods. We are also constantly searching for exciting new ranges, ensuring that our collection evolves around the changing needs of consumers and remains the best in the market.
Anna moved to Ireland in 1989 after graduating from La Sapienza University (Rome, Italy) with an advanced degree in Economics & Commerce. In 2002, following a period of product and market research, Anna founded Del Gusto Ltd. When it comes to food, Anna has a natural appreciation for the importance of regionality, authenticity, and the story behind a product. Having lived in many different regions across Italy, Anna had the opportunity to learn about the best products that each unique region has to offer, and loves to bring that experience to customers in the Irish and UK markets. In her role as Managing Director, Anna oversees the development and growth of the business – this includes researching and selecting new products to add to Del Gusto’s collection, advancing a strategic plan and vision for the company, developing own-brand lines, maintaining relationships with producers and buyers, and promoting Del Gusto’s products in Ireland and abroad.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also loves to travel, and is an avid mountain hiker.
Paul joined Del Gusto in 2015 with valuable and diverse experience in the retail sector. In his current role, Paul is responsible for liaising with existing clients to provide sales support, ensure that all clients are maximizing their sales potential, and introduce new and exciting lines. He assists Anna in devising Del Gusto’s business and marking plan, and in maintaining key relationships with producers and buyers. Paul also manages the day-to-day logistics and operation of the business, including monitoring sales and stock control, coordinating with transport providers in Ireland and Italy, and working with the rest of the team to ensure that all orders reach our clients on time.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys playing football for Enniskerry YC and manages Shankill FC’s under 10 football team.
Francesca joined Del Gusto in 2017 with a strong background in customer service. Following completion of a Degree in Foreign Languages & Tourism in Genova, Francesca moved to Ireland where she worked with some mid-sized and large companies in a range of administrative and customer service roles.
At Del Gusto, Francesca is the first point of contact for our Italian suppliers and ensures that deliveries from Italy arrive on time. Francesca also supports Paul in managing company accounts and is responsible for processing orders, paying suppliers and generating monthly sales reports for some of our largest clients. She also assists Anna with product research and pricing and loves discovering new products for Del Gusto’s collection.
Having spent much of her early life in Genova, Francesca has a great passion for Italy – she loves reading and cooking traditional dishes from her hometown of Genova.
Having joined Del Gusto in 2008, Ann has become an invaluable member of our team. Ann’s ability to focus, her attention to detail and her organisational capabilities ensure that logistics run smoothly, our stock requirements are fulfilled and all orders are processed without fault.
In her spare time, Ann nurtures young sporting talent at St. Joseph’s AFC, Sallynoggin.
Jack first joined Del Gusto in 2014. He provides support across many areas of the business, including the creation of marketing material, company brochures, and maintenance and update of our website. Jack also assists Elda with the processing of orders and addition of stock information into our system, and helps Paul with warehouse operations.
Jack is currently pursuing a dual bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics and Social Studies from Trinity College, Dublin
